  • All Day – Primitive Rendezvous Setup (3 miles East and 8 miles south on Bordeaux Road)
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. – Fur Trade for Kids; story time, crafts, and snacks (Chadron Public Library)
  • 3-5 p.m. – Fur Trade Days-themed Treasure Hunt for kids and adults (Chadron Public Library)
  • 5-10 p.m. – Fur Trade Days Carnival (Downtown Chadron)
  • Thursday Afternoon – Novelty Shoots (Primitive Rendezvous)
  • Thursday Evening – Candle Shoot (Primitive Rendezvous)
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m. – Historical Walk Around Chadron, Stories of Yesterday, begins and ends at library (Chadron Public Library)
  • 6-9 p.m. – Bands on Bordeaux, sponsored by the Chadron Chamber of Commerce (Bordeaux & 2nd Street)

FRIDAY, JULY 12

  • All Day – Primitive Rendezvous (3 miles East and 8 miles south on Bordeaux Road)
  • All Day – Ken Woody presenting on Plains Indians Material Culture (Museum of the Fur Trade, 3 miles east of Chadron)
  • 8 a.m. – Traders’ Market Setup (Courthouse Lawn)
  • 8 a.m. – Yoga on Library Lawn, Kundalini and Sun Salutation (Chadron Public Library)
  • 9 a.m. – Pistol Match (Primitive Rendezvous)
  • 9:30 a.m. – Tibetan Bells ringing (Chadron Public Library Lawn)
  • 9:45 & 10:15 a.m. – Yoga on the Lawn Meditation, followed by snacks and yoga-related crafts (Chadron Public Library)
  • 10 a.m. – Red Donker Memorial Trade Gun Match (Primitive Rendezvous)
  • 11 a.m. – Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest (Chadron Public Library)
  • Noon to 7 p.m. – Traders’ Market Open (Courthouse Lawn)
  • Noon – Chadron Record TCR Treasure Hunt – First place wins $100 in Chadron Chamber Bucks (248 West 2nd Street)
  • Noon to 10 p.m. - Fur Trade Days Carnival (Downtown Chadron)
  • 1:30 p.m. – Youth Rifle Matches (Primitive Rendezvous)
  • 2:30 p.m. – Movie screening in basement of library, title TBA (Chadron Public Library)
  • 5-6 p.m. - Nebraska Humanities "All Original, All Nebraska" presented by Dan Holtz (Courthouse Lawn Gazebo)
  • Friday Evening – Cookoff and Potluck Dinner (Primitive Rendezvous)
  • 6 p.m. to Close – GMC of Chadron presents Fur Trade Days Entertainment featuring The Bar Flies opening for Judd Hoos. Live Music and free street dance in Downtown Chadron. Minors welcome until 11 p.m.

SATURDAY, JULY 13

  • All Day – Primitive Rendezvous (3 miles East and 8 miles south on Bordeaux Road)
  • All Day – Ken Woody presenting on Plains Indians Material Culture (Museum of the Fur Trade, 3 miles east of Chadron)
  • 6:30 a.m. – Registration for Rotary Colter Run (CSC Armstrong Building)
  • 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. – Masonic Bodies Pancake Breakfast (Masonic Temple, 4th and Main Streets)
  • 7:30 a.m. – Rotary Colter Run (CSC Armstrong Building)
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Traders’ Market Open (Downtown Chadron)
  • 10 a.m. – 43rd Annual Fur Trade Days Parade (Main Street) sponsored by Chadron Lions Club

AFTER PARADE

  • Chamber Ambassador Cookout (Courthouse Lawn)
  • Ice Cream Social, Congregational Church (4th Street and Chadron Avenue)
  • 11 a.m. - Noon – Nebraska Humanities "Songs and Dances of the Lakota" presented by Jerome Kills Small (Courthouse Lawn Gazebo)
  • 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. – Rock the Library Lawn with Second Avenue, youngest rock band in the Panhandle
  • Noon to 10 p.m. – Fur Trade Days Carnival (Downtown Chadron)
  • Noon – World Championship Buffalo Chip Throw sponsored by Chadron Rotary (Main Street, between 4th and 5th streets)
  • Noon - 1 p.m. – Nebraska Humanities "Music of the Plains" presented by David Marsh (Courthouse Lawn Gazebo)
  • 1-3 p.m. – Nebraska Humanities "Nebraska Territories Stories" followed by mini harmonica workshop, presented by David Seay (Courthouse Lawn Gazebo)
  • 1:15 - 2 p.m. – “The Biggest, The Longest, The Smallest” contest with prizes (Chadron Public Library)
  • 2 p.m. – Couples rifle match followed by 3 rifle matches and women’s match plus “Red’s Challenge” match Tomahawk matches for men, women and youth to be announced (Primitive Rendezvous)
  • 3:30 p.m. – Water Balloon Throwing Contest and Watermelon Tasting (Chadron Public Library)
  • 4 p.m. – Cemetery Historic Tours, Greenwood Cemetery (West of Walmart)
  • 6 p.m. to Close – GMC of Chadron presents Blue Street opening for Whiskey Bent, hosted by Fur Trade Days, Inc. Live Music and free street dance in Downtown Chadron. Minors welcome until 11 p.m.
  • 7 p.m. – Cemetery Historic Tours, Greenwood Cemetery (West of Walmart)

SUNDAY, JULY 14

  • Noon to 5 p.m.– Fur Trade Days Carnival (Downtown Chadron)
  • 6 p.m. – Stories around the fire pit followed by downtown Ghost walk (Chadron Public Library)
