Fireworks

Fireworks are back at Fur Trade Days 2023! We’re cautiously optimistic that the wet spring might pave the way for a great show this year 10 p.m., Friday, July 14.

The fireworks will be shot off from the city fields south of East Niobrara Ave to allow visibility from several locations around town.

Due to safety and clearance requirements, East Niobrara Ave will be closed to traffic for a short time before, during, and after the show. Local authorities recommend not attempting to view the show from East Niobrara.

The best places to view the show will be along East First Street (between Main & Cedar streets), from the Carnival (100-200 block of Bordeaux Street), from the Dawes County Fairgrounds parking area, or Roger Eaton Soccer fields (Main Street & Norfolk Ave).
