Fur Trade Days is a party. A time to gather with family, friends, former classmates and celebrate the Chadron community’s past, present, and future. In the last handful of years, awesome live music has been a cornerstone of that party and it’s high time for an upgrade!

The Goal

Fur Trade Days has launched a three-pronged capital campaign to finance the purchase of a professional stage. One arm of the campaign is grant dollars, another is sponsorship dollars, and a third is individual donations.

Thanks to a generous Nebraska Arts Council grant and a small amount of cash-on-hand, we are nearly halfway to our fundraising goal. But as with the production of Fur Trade Days each year, we cannot get to 100% without the support of the community.

The Stage

Our bespoke, locally-crafted stage has served Fur Trade Days well since 2018, but it is definitely beginning to show its age. The stage is also difficult to move, and its fixed width is too broad for the highway, which presents a barrier to use in the community and region.

We believe a professional, foldable stage, like the one pictured above will be a tremendous asset not only to Fur Trade Days, but the Dawes County Ag Society, Harvest Moon Festival, Slim Days, Bands on Bordeaux, and even beyond Chadron!

Limited tickets are available through our online shop or in-person from a Fur Trade Days board member. You do not need to be present to win. Drawing Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10pm during the downtown street dance.
